For some reason, I am that “One guy” with the unpopular opinion. I hate Chrono Trigger, I gag at the thought of playing MGS, and don’t even get me started on really old games. I prefer games that actually allow controller option, and most of the “popular” games are really stale, annoying, and boring.
I feel as if the Metal Gear Solid series is the epitome of perfection. There’s something for everyone. You have romance, comedy, action, horror, and it’s all built around such an intricate plot with mystery and suspense. You’ve got something for men, for women, newbies to hardcore gamers. It’s no wonder the MGS franchise is such a classic; it’s perfection in every form.
Metal Gear Solid 2 isn’t as good as MGS 1, by far, but it’s still an incredibly good game. It and Raiden don’t deserve the hate.
I hate the fact that the new metal gear is going on the Xbox. They pretty much change the entire format of the game i think to appeal to Xbox fans, just as they did with the Resident Evil franchise. If a game goes on the Xbox, it seems as though they change the entire gaming experience to more of a hack and slash gamer type thing or shoot em up, without much in depth thought, or story, or details. I hope that the route the MGR is gonna take will be different, if not, I will be sadly disappointed…
The overall continuity of the Metal Gear series confuses the hell out of me, but I love it.
I love this game and this franchise more than anything in the world. Even in the real world I pretend I’m Solid Snake, saving the world every day from Metal Gear.
Though Metal Gear Solid 1 is overall the better game, a lot of MGS 2’s gameplay is much better, and Raiden doesn’t deserve all the hate he gets.
I wish I had a PS2 and a PS3, just so I could play the Metal Gear series. I find it so compelling, even though I’ve never played a single game from it.
We Always thought that Snake and Otacon we’re Best Friends because Otacon always had Snakes Back, and Snake was the one who saved Otacon from Gray Fox.
Since I played MGS 3, fell in love with young Revolver Ocelot. The character’s personality fascinates me so much that almost every day, I dream of finding someone so attractive in real life. The song “The man with the gun” by the singer Stina Nordenstam reminds me o much about Ocelot. Eva, Natasha Romanenko and Sniper Wolf are perfect too. Both male and female characters in the series are extremely interesting and strong.
